The electron drift velocity in dense gases

Abstract
The conditions are considered when the interaction of electrons with atoms cannot be described as a number of successive independent collisions. This results in an additional density dependence of the drift velocity. The two density effects are taken into account-the interference of electron and the polarizational screening. It allows the authors to discuss the experimental data available and to explain the results in heating electric fields in hydrogen, argon and methane.Keywords
