On the Dynamics of Plastic Spherical Shells

Abstract
This paper discusses the behavior of complete spherical shells and simply supported spherical caps under impulsive loading by uniform external pressure. The pressures are assumed to be greater than the static collapse pressures and to act for a short period of time. The displacements of the shells are presented for particular values of the parameters of the problem.
