A Spectrum of Malignant Epithelial Tumors of the Prostate Gland

Abstract
The human prostatic territory encompasses neoplasms whose origins are intraprostatic, paraprostatic or extraprostatic. The objectives in this review are to present a classification of the spectrum of malignant epithelial growths encountered in the prostatic territory; to show examples of these neoplasms and remark on their histogenesis, enzyme production and endocrine sensitivity; and to suggest reevaluation of some current routine therapeutic procedures.
