Abstract
Various methods of graphically portraying censored data are discussed. These include smoothing and model checking. Many existing graphical methods may be expressed as functionals of the empirical distribution function. When the data are subject to censoring, the Kaplan–Meier estimator of the distribution may replace the empirical distribution in these methods. The plots and problems that arise from such a substitution will be discussed. Keywords
