Abstract
A general discussion of a method which may be used to obtain the first-order Coriolis splitting of the harmonic and combination states of and is presented. The method is applied to obtain these splittings of , and and to derive the stabilized wave functions for these states. With these functions the selection rules and the elements of the matrix of the second-order Hamiltonian have been calculated for these states.
