RP-HPLC--TSP--MS of Epoxy Resins Bisphenol A Diglycidyl Ether Type

Abstract
Epoxy-based coatings are used in a variety of applications, including some where they come into direct contact with food. Because of the toxicity of the components forming part of the epoxy resins bisphenols diglycidyl ethers type, we have tried to explore the matters of reactivity, analytical problems, impurities, hydrolysis products, etc. RP—HPLC—TSP—MS is used to characterize A bisphenols and their diglycidyl ethers (BADGEs) to gather information on BADGE impurities. BADGE hydrolysis products are detected and identified in three aqueous-based simulated food products.
