Abstract
By using single-crystal strips of iron and silicon steel having the crystallographic orientations (001)-[100] and ()-[111], the magnetoresistance coefficients , , and their temperature dependence were measured below room temperature. The measurement of was accomplished by changing the domain structure in the demagnetized state by utilizing the magnetic field induced by the measuring current in the sample. It is found that both and are strongly dependent on temperature and composition, but it seems difficult to obtain a complete quantitative interpretation of the results.
