Abstract
Thiourea as a precipitating agent for copper membrane electrode is proposed. Detailed information is provided concerning the construction of the electrode as well as its application in potentiometric titration and in the direct determination of copper (II) in commercial ethyl alcohol. The theory of the electrode potential is consistent with the Cu(II)/Cu(I) system rather than the Ag (I)/Ag one. Keywords
