Abstract
Chromatography of the ethanol extract of mamey seed residues (previously extracted with hexane) provided 2- and 4-hydroxyxanthone along with 1,7-dihydroxyxanthone (euxanthone) and the previously unknown 1,5-dihydroxyxanthone. These substances were identified by comparison with samples prepared independently.Keywords
