Abstract
Two approaches to the study of a complex cavity with mode conversion are developed. In the first method a system of coupled second order differential equations, which takes into account the non-principal modes, is solved. This method is applicable to cavities with gradual transition. The second method is based on the use of a field-matching technique and is applicable to cavities with abrupt transition. Numerical results are presented for a complex cavity with the mode conversion TE02/TE06 in the cold cavity fixed field approximationKeywords
