Abstract
Plectania Fuck. is emended to correct the descr. of the paraphyses which were found to be branched instead of filiform. The N. Amer. spp. are P. coccinea* and P. occidentalis*. Anthopeziza Wettst is recognized as valid and a new comb. A. floccosa Peziza f. (Schw.) is made. The paraphyses as descr. for Anthopeziza spp. anastomose and form a reticulate net surrounding the asci. Microstoma Bernstein is recognized and the n. comb. M. protracta* Peziza pr. (Fr.) is made. The genus is distinguished by the presence of gelatinous tissue in the cup and stipe, by the perrenial pseudorhizoids and by the stout, dichotomously branching paraphyses. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
