Photoionisation cross section of H2

Abstract
The photoionisation cross section for the production of hydrogen molecular ions has been measured using synchrotron radiation and a time-of-flight ion analyser. The values are normalised at 25 eV and cover the energy range from 25 to 110 eV, thereby extending previous results considerably to higher photon energies. Special emphasis has been laid on possible higher-order and stray-light contributions to the ion signal caused by the monochromator.
