Abstract
Oth winged and wingless adults of the greenbug, Schizaphis graminum (Rondani), the English grain aphid, Macrosiphum avenae (F.); and the corn leaf aphid, Rhopalosiphum maidis (Fitch), were tested in a growth room for their preferences among 2 varieties of barley, 1 of wheat, and 1 of oats. Neither the greenbug nor the English grain aphid showed significant preferences among the 3 species of host plants, nor were there any preference differences between the 2 morphs. Both winged and wingless adults of the corn leaf aphid preferred barley to wheat or oats, and wheat to oats. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
