Abstract
A method for the relative quantitative determination of protein-bound disulfide groups was described. Optimal conditions for reduction of protein-bound disulfide to sulfhydryl groups were determined. The color reaction used was that for protein-bound sulfhydryl. The difference in extinction values before and after reduction represents a quantitative estimate of protein-bound disulfide concentration. Keywords
