Abstract
A method for the synthesis of silver halides from dry halogen and dry silver nitrate or dry silver at a temperature of about 500° C is described. The material so obtained has a considerably lower level of fog than the halides prepared by the precipitation of water solutions. The method seems productive ond convenient for the preparation of silver halides suitable for photographic research. Keywords
