Abstract
In this paper, a frame erasure process for testing speech coders designed to operate in a wireless communications environment is proposed. In the N-state Markov model for generating frame erasures, the frame error statistics can be, controlled by selecting the transition probabilities. TSS intends to use a special case of the model for subjecting candidate codecs for the 8 kb/s standard. Keywords
