Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine ocular tissue steroid concentrations in monkeys at intervals after a single subconjunctival dose of a depot-corticosteroid preparation. The cornea, anterior uvea, posterior uvea-retina, and sclera contained high concentrations of steroid at two days. Concentrations, when assayed in tissues at nine days, had decreased tenfold in the cornea and anterior uvea, and decreased almost threefold in the posterior uvea-retina samples. Comparisons have been made with other local administration data.
