Domain Walls in Pseudo Spin Systems with Competing Interactions

Abstract
The structure of domain walls was studied within the frame of a generalized ANNNI-type pseudo spin model with a non zero tunneling constant. Temperature dependences of free energies, migration barriers, and profiles of the walls were calculated and shown to be sensitive functions of tunneling constants and interaction ratios. In some parts of the phase diagram there is an oscillatory approach of the wall polarization to the bulk value.
