Abstract
Theoretical calculations of the intensity ratios of the Lbeta , Lgamma and Ltotal lines to the Lalpha line induced by proton impact on Pb and Bi and of the intensity ratios of the Lalpha to Lbeta , Lgamma and Ltotal lines as well as the Ltotal line production cross sections induced by 4He-ion bombardment on Bi have been performed by means of various L-subshell databases. The results computed by using the ionization cross sections tabulated by Cohen and Harrigan and the new decay yields given by the authors are in good agreement with experimental data for 0.5-4.4 MeV protons and 1.5-4.0 MeV 4He ions. The L-subshell coupling effects are not found in the investigated energy ranges. Keywords
