Abstract
Trans-chloro-(2-naphthyl)-bis-(triphenylphosphine)nickel has been used to catalyze the conversion of 2-and 3-bromothiophene with alkali cyanide into the corresponding nitriles. A modified procedure for preparing the catalyst is described.Keywords
