Abstract
An experimental phase diagram for mode locking is obtained for the charge-density-wave conductor Nb. Mode-locked Shapiro steps are obtained within an amplitude window of the external ac field with a reentrant unlocked regime at higher amplitudes. The results are compared to the models of the dynamics of the charge-density-wave condensate.
