The Late Effects of Irradiation for a Malignant Lesion in the Tongue of an Infant

Abstract
At the age of three months a child was treated by radon therapy for a malignant lesion of the tongue. Now, at the age of 12 years, she shows the effects of the irradiation on the developing maxilla, hard palate, mandible and teeth; these effects are carefully examined in order to discover exactly which tissue are particularly vulnerable and hence require shielding during radon therapy in these regions.
