Theory of Two-Photon Spectroscopy in Alkali Halides

Abstract
The two-photon spectrum is calculated for absorption near the band gap in an alkali halide. By using just a two-band model, the theory correctly predicts the magnitude, frequency dependence, and polarization dependence of the absorption spectrum.Keywords
