Abstract
Daniel Callahan, in an autobiographical reflection, describes how the unfolding secularization of bioethics has culminated in a speculative and linguistic narrowness. The pluralism we celebrate as a moral achievement may become oppressive if it is not open to the insights of particular traditions and communities.Keywords
