Abstract
Vasopressin (VP) can be shown to exert psychotropic effects independent of its antidiuretic activity, facilitating learning and consolidation of memory in rats. Immunoreactive VP and neurophysin (NP) are localized on serial section of Bouin fixed, paraffi embedded guinea pig, rat and hamster brains.
