Pipistrellus (Chiroptera : Vespertilionidae) in Northern Australia with some remarks on its systematics

Abstract

The occurrence of P. tenuis in the Northern Territory of Australia is documented. Bacula of the forms P. t. papuanus, P. t. ponceleti and P. t. collinus are illustrated and discussed. The form P. t. collinus warrants semi-species ranking within the P. tenuis superspecies.
