Separation of Actinomycete Nodule Endophytes from Crushed Nodule Suspensions by Sephadex Fractionation

Abstract

Fractionation of suspensions of crushed root nodules on sterile Sephadex G-50 resulted in improved nodulation of Elaeagnus and Myrica seedlings. The nodulating capacity of these Sephadex-purified fractions was up to fivefold greater than a crude nodule suspension.
