Abstract
In this paper, the performance of quasi-synchronousdirect-sequence CDMA communication systems based ondifferent sets of orthogonal codes is investigated. We searchfor sets of sequences that minimize the probability of bitdetection error, given that there is imperfect synchronizationamong the signals. Orthogonal sequences based on theSylvester-type Hadamard matrices (Walsh functions) areshown to provide a large improvement over the case wherean orthogonal set is chosen at random. For...Keywords
