Abstract
A synthesis of coprostane-7[alpha]-ol-3-one based on selective oxidation at the 3 position by Oppenauer oxidation is given. It was found that this compound was rapidly converted in the bile fistula rat to both cholic and chenodeoxy-cholic acid.This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
