Abstract
The amino acid sequence of the β subunit of hLH has been deduced from tryptic and thermolytic peptides of the reduced and carboxymethylated subunito hLH-β consists of 115 residues. A single tryptophan in the molecule occurs at position 8, hLH-β exhibits greater homology with hCG-B (89 identical positions) than with ovine LH-β (77 identical positions). Heterogeneity exists at the carboxy terminal portion of the molecule. Keywords
