Abstract
Four cases of pregnancy following jejunoileal bypass surgery for obesity are presented and 9 cases from the recent literature are reviewed. Pregnancy after bypass surgery often resulted in low birthweight infants (46%) at term. This was especially true when conception occurred within 2 yr of surgery. It may be advisable to postpone pregnancy until after the 2nd postoperative year. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
