Abstract
Data on 164 White adolescents with unworn dentitios showed independence of the cusp number of the lower 1st molars from groove pattern and tooth size. The mesiodlstal crown diameter was significantly related to cusp number, larger teeth of the same class showing more cusps as reflected in regression equations computed for Ohio Whites and Melanesians. Data on tooth size relationship to cusp number should be provided separately when making interpopulation or inter-specific comparisons. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
