Abstract
The susceptibility of Culex Pipiens fatigans (Malayan strain) and Culex Pipiens molestus (London strain) was studied in the laboratory. Culex Pipiens fatigans (Malayan strain) is completely refractory, and it was found that the microfilariae in the stomach failed to reach the thorax of the mosquitoes. 36.6% of the Culex Pipiens molestus (London strain) which were dissected 10 days after receiving an infecting blood meal showed development of the microfilariae of Brugia pahangi to the third stage infective larvae. Keywords
