Abstract
Mating behavior and oviposition in the pycnogonid P. longiceps (Bohm) were observed in the laboratory. The female collects the eggs laid and transfers them to the male. The male forms bracelet-like egg masses and carries them on its ovigerous legs until hatching. The processes of copulation and oviposition are described in detail and compared with those reported for other, related species. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
