Abstract
Using an exact expression for the occupied nearest neighbor degeneracy, the adsorption isotherm for a one dimensional lattice is calculated taking into account nearest neighbor interactions between adsorbing particles. The equation of state is also determined. It is also shown that the influence of coverage on the heat of adsorption is exactly that obtained using the Bethe approximation.Keywords
