Abstract
Generation of squeezing via a two-photon transition in a system of three-level atoms, strongly driven by two resonant fields is investigated. Spontaneous emission, cavity damping, and collective effects are accounted for. It is shown that in the steady-state regime, strong squeezing can be generated. Keywords
