Abstract
The crosstalk of an arrayed waveguide grating multiplexer with a channel spacing of 10 GHz was reduced by trimming a-Si films deposited on the arrayed waveguides. This static phase compensation enables a stable multiplexer to be made which features a low crosstalk of <–30 dB without any external phase control. Keywords
