Model for Lattice Dynamics in Metals

Abstract
A new model is proposed for the calculation of dispersion curves in metals. The conduction electrons are taken into account with the Thomas-Fermi interaction. In this model, the requirements of symmetry are satisfied and no external forces are needed in order to maintain static equilibrium.Keywords
