Abstract
(1) The effect of radiation on the DNA-content and on the enzyme responsible for DNA-synthesis has been studied in regenerating rat liver. (2) An almost complete block in the activity of the DNA-synthesizing enzyme system was observed after irradiation. (3) Some increase was noted in the enzymes concerned with thymidine degradation. (4) These observations are believed to explain to a large degree the depressed DNA-synthesis.Keywords
