Abstract
Hypocotyls of mothbean were subjected to electrical impulses of increasing field intensity. Field treated hypocotyl segments showed marked increase in stimulation of shoot bud formation compared to untreated segments. The voltage at which maximum stimulation was obtained decreased with the increase in duration of field pulse. Present results suggest that electrical pulses stimulate differentiation in the treated tissue. Keywords
