Abstract
The haemoproteids of ducks and geese, family Anatidae, are reviewed. Haemoproteus nettionis (Johnston and Cleland 1909), Coatney 1936 is redescribed. Haemoproteus anatis Haiba 1947 and H. hermani Haiba 1948 are declared synonyms; H. netti Johnston and Cleland 1910, a lapsus calami; and H. vilhenai Travassos Santos Dias 1953, a nomen dubium. The hosts and zoogeographic distribution are summarized. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
