Abstract
Non-routine poteritially high dote rate procediires occasionally present themselves at biomedical facilities. Lacking significant operational experience, many biomedical facilities decide to contract out the work to corisulting firms without seriously considering doing the work themselves. mis study shares the University's experiences diiririg a non-routine procedure to extract a 60Co irradiation source from an underground storage facility and relocate it to ail above-ground shielded storage cask. ©2000Health Physics SocietyKeywords
