Abstract
A very small radio transmitter-battery combination covered with plastic and inserted in an edentulous space was used to determine the frequency and duration of tooth contacts in subjects awake, asleep and eating various foods. In conjunction with a throat microphone and track recorders, the device can be used to study the correlation of tooth contact with swallowing or measure tooth contact pressures using appropriate transducers. Keywords
