Abstract
Describes results of the autonomous Daimler-Benz test vehicle VITA (vision technology application). The basic structure of the vehicle is introduced. The computer vision based applications, ranging from lane keeping, obstacle detection, stop+go and lane change to intersection control are briefly explained. Ongoing research work in the Daimler-Benz PROMETHEUS subproject is mentioned. Keywords
