Abstract
Cell division taking place in the nodal meristem of etiolated oat (Avena sativa cultivar Victory) seedlings is shown to be almost uniformly sensitive to different wavebands of light in the visible spectrum. The significance of the observations in relation to the identity of the photoreceptor, and to the opinion that green light is ‘morphogenetically inactive’ is discussed. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
