Abstract
In the Palaeozoic Era, the best evidence for estimating the positions of continents and oceans comes from palaeomagnetism and from the geographical distribution of fossils. This memoir contains contributions from eminent palaeomagnetists and palaeontologists from America, Asia, Australiasia and Europe. The information presented includes the most recent palaeomagnetic and biogeographic data from all major Palaeozoic continents. From this information, a new set of world maps has been produced illustrating successive positions of the continents and oceans throughout the Palaeozoic Era.Keywords
