Abstract
The two colors white and yellow were tested as attractants for adults of the western flower thrips, Frankliniella occidentalis (Pergande), within Bartlett pear orchards in southern California. The fact is evident that white exhibited a high degree of attractancy for the adults of this species, as the white traps caught 91.1% of the thrips trapped in the study. This strong positive response could thus serve as the means by which adult western flower thrips populations could be assessed. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
