Abstract
A defect in the transport of L-cystine and L-lysine has been found in the intestinal mucosa of patients with cystinuria. Transport studies in normal intestinal mucosa, in contrast to similar studies in the kidney, show that cystine and lysine are mutually inhibitory. Keywords
