Direct discrete model reference adaptive control: The multivariable case

Abstract
A discrete model reference adaptive control algorithm is developed for multi-input, multi-output plants, which does not require explicit on-line identification. Stability of the error between plant and model output is guaranteed even when the conditions for perfect model following do not hold. Procedures for satisfying the derived constraints sufficient for stability are considered. Examples, which include a non-minimum phase system, are presented.
