Abstract
Local corticosteroids [dexamethasone] inhibited limbal wound healing in normal rabbit eyes, and did not inhibit similar wounds if the nictitating membrane was removed. The contact time of fluorescein labeled corticosteroids was almost 3 times longer in rabbit eyes with nictitating membranes than those in which the membranes were removed. Keywords
